Dr. Gary L. Malone is a psychiatrist whose practice is grounded in the belief that thoughtful, individualized treatment can relieve suffering and help people build fuller, more satisfying lives. He has spent more than fifty years caring for patients with a wide range of psychiatric, addiction, and relational concerns.
Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Malone is also Board Certified in Psychoanalysis. His work combines medication management and psychotherapy with the clinical perspective that comes from decades of direct patient care.
Dr. Malone received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. He later completed psychiatric residency training at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his fourth year, and completed his psychoanalytic training through the Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute.
Dr. Malone provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care for a wide range of mental health and addiction conditions. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual.
Dr. Malone has shared his clinical perspective through print, radio, television, and accessible writing for general audiences.
