Meet Dr. Gary Malone

General and Addiction Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis in Grapevine, Texas

Dr. Malone is Board Certified in General and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also Board Certified in Psychoanalysis. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at UT Southwestern and a Senior Teaching Analyst in the Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute. He’s been named one of the “Best Doctors in Texas” (top 5%) 14 years in a row by Texas Monthly and is in their Hall of Fame. He’s served as Medical Director for twenty five years at four different hospitals in DFW. He has seen outpatients in Grapevine for almost thirty years. He is a multi published author with two books and numerous articles published and served as a contributor and consultant to Cosmo magazine for ten years. He is a frequent interview on local and national newscasts. He was quoted in Newsweek in 2006. His passion is treating patients in the hospital and at his office with the hope of offering relief of suffering and giving people the opportunity to live fuller, more satisfying lives. He is married for forty years with two adult daughters. A college swimmer at SMU, he  enjoys swimming, basketball and outdoor activities and even swam from Alcatraz to San Francisco last year!
